Matthew 19:5-6
And for this cause a man shall leave father, and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and the two shall become one flesh. Wherefore what God has joined together, let not man put asunder.
What an incredible, sacred act marriage is that was created by God Himself to symbolize His love and commitment to His own. When His people marry, it is a covenant to God Himself and then to each other. What causes us to remain faithful to each other is our commitment to Him, and realizing how serious it is. Next to our choosing Christ, choosing a mate is the most important decision you ever make. Not only are you choosing a life partner, but also the parent for your children. Let our top priority be to remain one with Christ first and foremost. Then we shall remain one as husband and wife. Our commitment to Him keeps us committed to each other.
