John 19:27  Then He said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” From that hour the disciple took her into his own household.

The last act from the cross Jesus performed was caring for His mother. He places her in John’s care. It is scriptural to care for our own parents when we are able. I recently had someone explaining he and his siblings fought over who got to keep their mom, and care for her. I was so impressed. How rare, and yet it should be the norm. Our society does not value the elderly. Everyone will become old who does not die young. Without a regard for the elderly, everyone loses. Again, let us follow Jesus, and care for our own.
In His love.

Photos of my Mom who is now 87; soon to be 88. She suffers with dementia. I recently took her on a picnic to Cumberland Knob, one of her favorite places on the parkway. We picked wildflowers and reminisced of the many times we had been there through three generations. We enjoyed a familiar overlook at Fox Hunters Paradise as well
