Mark 10:45
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."

A servant cannot serve until he is told by his master what to do. Servants don’t get to choose their task: they are only to act out of obedience to their master. No master will keep a servant who runs ahead doing what he thinks the master wants accomplished, rather than quietly waiting for the master’s instruction. We call ourselves servants of Christ, but how much of our good works is out of our own initiative rather than obedience? John 8:28 reveals Jesus telling His disciples He does nothing on His own initiative, only what the Father taught Him. He came to do the will of His Father, not His own will. Let us choose to truly be followers of Christ rather than following each other. Sheep following sheep end up being slaughtered. We desperately need the Shepherd to lead. Get behind Him today and become a true servant of Christ.
In His love.

Enjoyed a recent backpacking trip camping upon Wilburn Ridge surrounded by the great creation in Grayson Highland State Park. Lady Godiva got to carry her own pack this time. 🙂
