Matthew 6:14-15
"For if you forgive others for their transgressions your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others then your Father will not forgive your transgressions."

All of us who are followers of Christ must forgive as He continuously forgives us, as we confess and repent. If we have honest relationships with one another we must forgive the shortcomings and even the abuses of others. Rejection and betrayal are painful and cruel, but our Savior experienced both, and left us His example to follow, "Father forgive them, they know not what they do." He requested forgiveness from the Father for the ones who crucified Him. To say He didn’t deserve how He was treated is a great understatement! Remember He never sinned. His love for us is more than enough to enable us to forgive. Experiencing His love and forgiveness will enable us to for give those who have trespassed against us. Let His Spirit enable you to follow Him, and to forgive today. Let today be your day of being set free from the grip of unforgiveness.
In His love.
