Hebrews 10:36
"For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised."

A long distance runner learns developing endurance is positively necessary to crossing the finish line to receive the reward. He or she also learns it is not how you start, but how you finish that matters most.

If we are followers of Christ we are engaged in the most important race to be run. It is an eternal one. We are warned not to drop back, but to press on. We will experience many injuries along the way, but we can not allow them to stop us. We must set our faces like flint knowing we will not be ashamed at the finish as was spoken of Jesus in Isaiah 50:7.

He proclaimed,"The Lord God helps me."

And that He does as we cry out to Him when we have stumbled, and fallen.

Are you struggling in your race this morning considering giving up? Are you suffering from injuries? Call out to the Lord your God, your Coach! He has whatever you need whether it be healing, strength, endurance, or wisdom for direction. He can enable you to win your race! Let us declare with Paul:

"Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do, forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead,I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."(Philippians 3:13-14)

Acquire endurace that you might do the will of God and receive your promise and reward!
In His love.

A dear friend and myself persevered with great endurance this week as we attempted to create a walk laid with stone, complete with landscaping. I had zero experience in either. After bloody hands, mashed knuckles, lots of sweat, aching back, exhaustion, and almost tears…seeing and enjoying the finish product was great and worthy reward!
