Colossians 3:1
"Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God."

How easy it is to get swallowed up not only in the pleasures of this life, but also in the cares of everyday life. Mark 4:19 and Matthew 13:22 tells about those of us who hear and receive the Word, but then the worries of this life chokes the Word out and leaves lives that are unfruitful. We end up living for ourselves instead of for the Lord. In Romans 14:7-8 Paul states, "For none of us lives to himself alone…If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord." Let us not allow the cares of this life to cause us to live unfruitful lives when our lives should be hidden in Christ. Perhaps you, like myself, am calling out to my Father to get me refocused on the eternal rather than temporal and loving Him more than anything or anyone else. He deserves first place in all things.
In His love.
