2 Timothy 2:19
"Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness."
This is a powerful verse of absolute truths. Yes, no matter what, the firm foundation of God is, and will always stand. There is no evil or circumstances that is greater than the foundation laid in the Cornerstone which is Christ Jesus.(Ephesians 2:20)
The Lord knows those who are His. We are sealed, which is a mark of ownership and authentication. We have been sealed by the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 1:13)
If we call ourselves "Christian" by taking His name, we are to abstain from evil. There is nothing complicated about these truths. We simply must believe and obey through the power of the Holy Spirit inside of us.
What a blessing to come to the Word of God and to have our mind and conscience renewed in absolute truth that enables us to stand firm on the only sure foundation. In this ever changing, clamoring world let our hearts take courage and be comforted to continue to fight the fight of faith that we may endure til the end. It will be worth it all as we cross our finish line!
