When you receive the Perfect Gift you know it is a Gift to be shared. The Perfect Gift never wears out, it doesn’t expire, one size fits all, and you will never grow out of it. It will cost you nothing. It has already been paid for.

The Gift came sent from heaven and was revealed wrapped in swaddling cloths lying in a manger. This little life became the Savior of the world by paying the price for our robe of righteousness that we all may receive and clothe ourselves in. (Isaiah 61:10) The Perfect Gift was not purchased by gold or silver, but with the precious blood of Christ, the unblemished, sacrificial Lamb that takes away the sin of the world, all inclusive; no one is excluded.

If you are feeling unworthy and unloved this time of year, let the Perfect Gift define your worth this day. We are told of our worth from the Heavenly Father in Revelation 4:8-10.  The Son of God was slain, and purchased for God with His blood, men, women, and children from every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation. No, the Perfect Gift wasn’t purchased by monetary means; it was purchased by the imperishable, eternal, sacrificial lamb. This is the true meaning of Christmas.

How can we allow anything and everything to grab our attention this time of year when our Heavenly Father’s open arms are calling His children to receive His Perfect Gift and offers all a robe of righteousness and salvation? Let this be the Christmas we make room in our hearts for the Perfect Gift of Christ Jesus.  Nothing has changed since the night He was born. The world is busy buying, selling, celebrating, paying taxes, and there still is no room in the inn for the Son of God. Is there room for Him in your heart and home this Christmas, or is it just Happy Holidays without Christ?

All that is required to receive the Perfect Gift is a receptive heart.  Will you make Him Lord of your heart and home as we face a new year? There is nothing greater in existence to offer one another this Christmas.  As we allow the Father to wrap His prodigals in His robe of righteousness as we “put on Christ Jesus,” it will bring about a perfect unity as promised in the scriptures — unity in our marriages, families, churches, and in our nation.

Jesus, the Perfect Gift to receive and give to all.

Romans 13:14

“Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.”

Colossians 3:12-14

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.  Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you, and over all these virtues, put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

Galatians 3:27

“For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.”

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
