Joel 2:12-13
Yet even now declares the Lord, "Return to Me with all your heart, and with fasting, weeping and mourning; and rend your hearts and not your garments." Now return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in lovingkindness and relenting of evil.
God looks on the heart. We hear His heart as He pleads with His wayward people to return to Him. He requires repentance, true repentance. Man is about the outside and what can be seen. God is all about the inside that only He can see. The beautiful description of God is true. Now! Return to the Lord your God.
