John 16:33
"These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me You may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."

In John chapters 13-16 it is red letter which means Jesus is speaking. Here He is speaking to His disciples then and to all who have became His followers afterwards. In John 17 He is speaking with His Father and ours. After teaching and instructing His children He begins to pray for them, and we are allowed in on His conversation as He bears His heart for us before going to the cross out of obedience to His Father.

The previous chapters are instruction from the Son of God before leaving those He loved. Those instructions are for us today as much as they were for them over 2000 years ago. The Word of God is alive, and it gives life to those who have ears to hear and hearts to receive.

Jesus’ instructions will bring you peace as you encounter the tribulation that comes from living in this world. May I encourage you this morning to go to the mentioned chapters in John? Allow the Son of God to give your heart courage and peace as only He can give. Truly He overcame for all of us at the cross and leads us to triumph in all things if we allow Him to.
In His love.

Have you ever seen two cuter ball players?? This is my two youngest grandchildren, Sarah Grace, and Levi who are five years old. They seem to triumph in all things…and how they delight my heart!
