John 5:19
Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner."
Happy Independence Day!
As we celebrate the independence of this great nation given to us by God, I celebrate my total dependence I have come to have in that same God. I declare with Jesus I can do nothing of myself, and I have no desire to. I know my source for all my needs are met in Him. Those who the Son has set free are free indeed! I celebrate a freedom much greater than that of a nation, as great as that is. My freedom can never be taken from me. Nothing can overcome my Source. His ways are not ours. In losing your life for Him, you will gain His. It is the great exchange. May we say with Jesus, " We do nothing of ourselves, but only what we see the Father doing."
