John 20:23
"If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any they have been retained."

Is there a greater gift than forgiveness? I think not. We are all imperfect people who make wrong decisions in life that we deeply regret. Forgiveness is the key to release others from their offenses, but before we can do that we must experience forgiveness ourselves. Until I experienced forgiveness through the price paid by Jesus, I was imprisoned in a world of regret, hurt, and bitterness. I was freed from my helplessness through perfect sacrificial love that cost me nothing, because someone else paid the price, not with silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Jesus. Was the price He paid enough for your sins? There will never be a sin committed that His blood can’t cover the cost! Receive the price He paid for you. Then you will be able to set others free by following Jesus. When we experience His love and forgiveness, only then are we able to obey His commandment to forgive others as we have been forgiven.
Do you need to be set free from a prison with no bars this morning? Do you need to set someone else free this morning once and for all, no longer retaining their sins? Jesus stands before you offering you the keys, love and forgiveness He paid the price for. Yes, we want someone to pay for what our offenders have done; He paid the price for their sins as well as your own. Receive, and then offer the keys to others once and for all .
In His love.
