1 Peter 2:20-21
For what credit is there if when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it with patience? But if when you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds favor with God. For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps.

Who doesn’t want to have favor with God? This verse tells us how to do that. If when we do what is right and suffer for it, and patiently endure it this finds favor with God. Peter tells us we are all called for this purpose who are followers of Christ. The key is to keep entrusting ourselves to the One who judges righteously as stated in verse 23 as you read on down in 1 Peter, chapter 2. If we call ourselves followers of Christ we must follow in His steps remembering He who knew no sin suffered unjustly for all of us. He was called for that purpose. If we are following Him we too are called to follow His example as Peter states. God grant us the grace to be true followers of Christ that we might shine His love and light in the darkness of this world and may He be glorified!
In His love.

Photos of longhorn cattle I biked by this week in Fries, Va. I stopped to photo these for my son, John David, who raises cattle and I knew would have an appreciation. I hope you do too!
