Isaiah 57:15
For thus says the high and exalted One, who lives forever, whose name was Holy, "I dwell on a high and holy place, and also with the contrite and lowly of spirit in order to revive the heart of the contrite."
Hebrew translations of contrite gives us synonyms such as crippled, crushed, or broken. If this describes your life today be encouraged by the promises of God that He dwells with you to revive the one with a lowly spirit and a contrite heart. The way up is down in God’s ways. He is near to the brokenhearted, and yes, He will bind up their wounds. There is no wound His love cannot heal. Without the wounds we cannot experience His deep love for us. God is so great and good beyond description, yet His passion is for the contrite and lowly of spirit. You may matter little to the world, but know you matter greatly to the One who created you.
