Isaiah 41:13
"For I am the Lord your God, who takes hold of your right hand, who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’"
I love holding the hands of my children, grandchildren, and aging mother. My mind fills with memories of when I took my children by the hand to make them feel safe and loved. I suppose I learned that from my Heavenly Father. Multiple times in His Word He assures us He has us by the hand if we will allow it. He too wants to relieve our fears and help us through life as we so desired with our own children. As the children were growing up I strived to teach them to take their hand from mine to His.
Many times, even though I was the adult, I cried out to my Heavenly Father frightened and overwhelmed by the responsibilities of homeschooling my four children. He was always a very present help in my times of trouble.
No matter what season of life you are in may I encourage you to place your hand in His. His hand is always outstretched. You are not alone.

I was blessed this weekend with a reunion of long time friends from SC, one of the places I used to live. We shared so many wonderful memories of our young families and the faithfulness of the God who continues to hold our hands now that the children are gone.
