Joel 2:12-13
"Yet even now, declares the Lord, "Return to Me with all your heart, and with fasting, weeping, and mourning; and rend your heart and not your garments." Now return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in lovingkindness and relenting of evil.
This is a cry heard from the heart of God for His people to repent from their hearts. He give us a description of true repentance. I must confess after 37 years of belonging to Him I have never seen this type of repentance as individuals or corporately. Let us truly come to the kind of repentance God Himself defines here. It comes from deep within and is not external. It comes about with fasting, weeping, and prayer. If we truly come to Him as He request, we can change our families and make our nation great again as He intended. It can only happen as each one of us takes personal responsibility. Let it begin today!
