Mark 6:3-5
…and they took offense at Him.
Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in His hometown and among his own relatives and in his own household." And He could do no miracles there…and He wondered at their unbelief.
Jesus has come into His hometown, Nazareth to minister among relatives and His own household. They reacted with unbelief and rejection, and tried desperately to keep Him small on their level of faith. Nothing hurts more than when Christ in you is rejected by your own household and relatives. It is the most difficult place to live out our faith. We must continuously allow the Holy Spirit to define our value and His love for us. We must not allow the enemy to use those we love to deviate us from the straight and narrow path He has called us to. Our devotion and loyalty to Him and His call on our lives must far exceed family and relatives. Remember we do not have a high priest who cannot not sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. (Hebrews 4:15). May your heart and spirit be encouraged by His Word today.
In His love.

Eleanor, a dear client, and myself ended our session of bike riding by cooling off in Chestnut Creek Falls on New River Trail. Invigorating and refreshing!
