“And put no confidence in the flesh…”

Philippians 3:3
"For we are of the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus, and put no confidence in the flesh."

Here we have three qualifications of a true follower of Christ. Do we know how to worship in the Spirit and not out of our flesh and emotions? Do we truly glory in Christ Jesus and in Him alone? Do we live our daily lives with no confidence in our flesh for our own righteousness, knowing it can only come from the cross of Christ and Him alone? In our flesh dwells no good thing, the scripture says. Learn to totally depend upon the only Source that is totally dependable, a God whose very existence is an expression of love. What marvelous love!
