Isaiah 60:1-2
Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth and the deep darkness the peoples; but the Lord will rise up on you, and His glory will appear upon you.
I use to awaken my children each morning proclaiming over them, "Arise and shine, for the glory of the Lord is upon you!" What a great way to start your morning by realizing the reality of this truth. It is a daily choice you may choose. He came! The Holy Spirit is here to be our Teacher! If you choose to bask in His Presence each morning, and saturate your mind with His Word you will shine with His glory. My children and I began each day this way. It was not a legalistic act, but was a way of life for us as we all sat quietly in His Presence with journals seeking to know His love, and each writing of what they received. Then we would share together. After our "daily bread of life" our day began. Our home was filled with Light and His glory. We experienced peace and love for each other. We expelled the darkness in our home with the Light. We all have a choice on how to begin each day. As parents with children in our home, we make the choice for our household.
"O merciful God, teach us to number our days that we might know You intimately, and gain a heart of wisdom. Let us become the vessels of Your Light to a lost and dying world in desperate need of You, the only way to truth and a glorious life eternally."
