"By faith Enoch was taken up so that he would not see death, and he was not found because God took him up; for he obtained the witness that before his being taken up he was pleasing to God."
I have always been deeply intriqued by what few words are spoken about Enoch, yet God included him in the old and new testament. He simply walked with God through his life, and it appears God was so pleased with the intimacy they shared, they walked on home together one day!
We always seem to get that backwards. The works come out of the relationship, and they are works initiated by the Holy Spirit that we perform in obedience. If our good deeds come from religion we are no different from the Pharisees and the Saduccees who eventually crucified the Son of God.
When I first met Enoch through the scriptures I purposed in my heart to be like him. I too long to obtain the witness that I am pleasing to God. Nothing in my life is more important to me. The only difference in Enoch and myself is I tend to run through life more than walk with my Lord. My hope is one day we too will run on home together!
In His love.
While running through life this week, me and my grandson, Levi, became the proud owners of two black lab puppies, Miss Lacy and Master Gunner! MeeMaw (me) gets to keep them til Levi gets moved in a new home being built.
The picture of you, Levi, and the labs is adorable!
