"We love because He first loved us." 1 John 4:19

God, the Father, has always been the Pursuer of mankind, His creation. He created us for Himself. We were created in His image according to Genesis 1:27. Just as we choose to create a child within our marriages are the same reasons God created us. The difference is He loves us with a perfect, unconditional love. We cannot begin to understand, or give what love really is until we experience God’s love for us.

I have a fierce love for my children that God has used so often in my life to reveal His heart for me. The times I long to hear from them, or even better to have time alone with them to really heart their hearts, I hear the still small voice of my Father telling me that is what He feels for me, and that is true for all of His children. I love my children with every fiber of my being, but I am so aware God’s perfect love for me and you is so superior to all my efforts. That is why we must allow Him to fill us up with His love and allow it to flow to others. When my children phone I know if I share His Word and counsel it is perfect and always the right answers as opposed to my biased opinions and ideas. Truth is only found in Him and His Words.

We must pursue a relationship with God the Father above all others in our life. He must have first place in all things. (Colossians 1:18) By placing our relationship with God as our top priority in life we are able to love our spouses and children with the love He first loved us with.

John was the disciple who truly seemed to have the revelation of God’s love for him personally. We would do well to study the books John wrote in the Bible. He spoke much on love. After all, God is love. (1 John 4:7-21)
In His love.

How easy it is to feel loved sitting in God’s Presence with His Words before me gazing out my bedroom window during early morning hours.

Photos from my view: First photo is just before dawn revealing the full moon. Next two were taken as the morning progressed.
