"But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king that we are not going to serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up."
Daniel 3:18
In scripture we read throughout of unfaithfulness and betrayal of God’s children. Our Father understands a broken heart. But in the book of Daniel we read of a faithful, committed servant enduring captivity and persecution.
Daniel loved God, period. He didn’t love God based on God answering his pleas; at this time it was deliverance from a blazing furnace for refusing to worship gods created by the king who held him captive.
Daniel had set his heart to fully love God with his all which Jesus said was the greatest commandment of all. In this instance Jesus joined them in the furnace and the only thing the fire touched was the ropes that bound them.
What does satan have you bound with this morning? Perhaps you are in the fire also. May I encourage you to determine to love God and declare His faithfulness no matter the outcome. Trust in His love and character whether there is immediate deliverance, or it comes much later.
As a result of Daniel’s deep devotion to God and seeing God’s deliverance of His children King Nebuchadnezzar declared before all the signs and wonders of the most high God, His kingdom is everlasting from generation to generation. (Daniel 4:1-3)
Our God is to marvelous for words! Offer your whole heart full of unconditional love this morning and be the example in and out of the fires of life that give glory to the one true God who is so worthy of all glory, honor and praise!

Soaring high as I participated in my first race since the accident. I broke my left tibia and pulled multiple ligaments and tendons in and around my knee. Yesterday it had only been nine weeks! I experienced my own deliverance yesterday as I defied the natural realm, and trusted my God for every step of the most difficult half marathon I have ever done! What a day with the God I love and trust with all my heart!
