Psalm 81:11-13
But My people did not listen to My voice, and Israel did not obey Me. So I gave them over to the stubbornness of their heart to walk in their own devices.
Learn to listen to the voice of God, and obey Him. God has always spoken to His people from Genesis to Revelation. Read Psalm 81:8-15, and hear the heart of God. If we have been parents we know the agony of a child who will not listen to a wise parent, but chooses their own devices leading to the hard way. How agonizing it is to watch helplessly as they go in the wrong direction knowing the needless suffering they will endure.
How foolish we are not to listen to our Heavenly Father who is always right, always! He so desires to lead and guide His children. Let us resolve in our hearts to strive to listen first to His voice, and then to walk in obedience to whatever He says knowing He is always right, and His love for us is perfect.
