Ephesians 2:14
"For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall."

How do we put to death the enmity that is created in all relationships at sometime or another? Ephesians 2:11-22 gives us the answer. When we are separated from Christ and strangers to all of His covenant promises we have no hope without God in the world. We who were far off were brought near, establishing peace on the inside of us which creates peace on the out side, as we forgive and love as when we were reconciled to Christ Himself through the cross. We must be reconciled to God the Father before we can be reconciled to each other. This has to be a daily moment by moment experience. It is how we achieve peace within ourselves, and then we establish peace with one another by submitting our will to His.

May I encourage you this morning to find your way to the cross of Christ in order to be loved, forgiven, cleansed, healed, and set free from chains you cannot see. This is the way of peace for our world as we submit our lives to the only hope for the truly hopeless.
In His love.

We are God’s hands and feet to bring hope to the hopeless. There is nothing like being remembered with flowers on Valentine’s Day to bring hope to the elderly we so often seem to forget. This is my Mom’s beautiful bouquet of remembrance from my son, Stephen. She is now ninety years old.
