1 Chronicles 29:19
"And give to my son Solomon a perfect heart to keep Your commandments,Your testimonies and Your statutes, and to do them all, and to build the temple for which I have made provision."
As a parent praying for my children is a way of life that will end only when we are all safely home. My children are all grown, but I pray for them more now than when they were small, because I am not able to contribute in their lives as when they were under my care. I have to make my petitions, and then totally trust in God’s faithfulness and love.
I love David’s prayer for his adult son, Solomon. Let us join him today, and pray for God to direct the heart of all His people back to Him, and for the hearts of our children to receive a perfect heart to obey His commandments, statutes, and testimonies, and to fulfill the will of God for their lives. It is all that truly matters and is eternal.

Participated in the New River 25K/50K Run yesterday. Won second in my age group in the 25K with a time of 2:33:26. Coffee mugs and gift certificates were the trophies of the day.
I truly have to draw my strength from the Lord as this body continues to age! This too, like adult parenting, requires total trust and reliance on His love.
