Psalm 25:4-6
"Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old."

How often I flee to the Psalms of David in the Word of God! My heart cries join his as we cry out together prayers that so perfectly express the deep cries from within. I so often seem to lose my way in this life, and what comfort I find from my companion as I petition my Savior for His way, knowing His ways are higher than mine. I need and rely on the constant guidance of the Holy Spirit who promises to lead me into all truth.

Many times I am confounded and don’t begin to understand the circumstances of life. Yet, I have a hope always, because my hope remains all day long, day after day, that my Savior will remember His love and great mercy, because it is what makes up the character of God.

I do not always have answers to my questions, but I have a deep enough understanding of the goodness of God and His love for His children, that it anchors me in the storms of life. Do you need an anchor today? I know of only one that holds and is tried and true. His name is Jesus.
In His love.

As the river reflects the glory of what is above it, may our lives reflect the glory of His ways that are high above ourselves.
