"It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever, for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day He ceased from His labor, and was refreshed."
Today Sunday is treated as any other day for the most part of society. In six days God created our world, and on the seventh day He rested. God’s Word reveals the importance of rest for all of us. Physically our bodies must have rest. Our minds and spirits must have rest and refreshment. In Acts 3:19 we are told refreshment comes from being in the Presence of God. Take this Sunday to be still, and be refreshed in living water, and find rest for your souls. God’s ways are higher than ours.
In His love.
After the labor of 40 miles biking on the New River Trail refreshment often comes from God’s provision of His creation, and basking in His Presence with joy and thanksgiving!
( Even though the water is low, it is still enough at Chestnut Creek Falls to be refreshed!)
