And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems, and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called "The Word of God."
Revelation 19:11-13

How wonderful it is to celebrate the birth of our Savior during the Christmas season leading up to Christmas Day. It truly is a time of many facets of wonder as we familiarize ourselves once again with the night Jesus was born, and how God chose to send His Son. It is such a joyous occasion as we relive the fulfillment of what was prophesied centuries before, and realizing how long the people waited for the promised Messiah. Yet, it happened just as the written Word of God said it would. The prophecies of old were fulfilled in every detail as promised.

I choose to remember the cross as well as the birth, because without the cross Jesus could not fulfill what He was sent for. That too was and is prophesied in detail in the Word of God in full detail. We know that prophecy also has come to pass just as God’s Word said it would. Jesus was the perfect, sinless life who made the choice to become the sacrificial Lamb for all mankind to have an opportunity to be reconciled to God through His blood so we might become righteous through Jesus, and be allowed to spend eternity in heaven.

As we approach the ending of one year and the beginning of another, I felt the Holy Spirit was impressing upon me now is the time to focus on the prophecy of Jesus which has not been fulfilled, but will be just as His Word says. As we look at our scriptures out of Revelation it is with great excitement and anticipation if you have accepted the gift of Jesus from God the Father to become your Savior. We are all in such desperate need of a Savior to save us from ourselves and the evil forces who try to kill, steal, and destroy our lives. These verses describe the second coming of Jesus. As you can see this time when Christ returns it is in righteousness to judge and wage war on His enemies. The robe dipped in blood is the blood of His enemies. The time of grace and having the opportunity to choose has ended. That is why we are warned to be ready to face Christ as our righteous Judge. However, we know it is not His will for anyone to perish which is why He sent us His Son to take our place on the cross. 1 Peter 3:9 declares to us:

"The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance."

If you read your Bible from cover to cover you will find a God full of compassion, slow to anger, merciful, patient, full of grace, perfect in all His ways who has loved His creation of mankind unconditionally, asking His Son to be our sacrificial Lamb. We have a holy God righteous in all His ways. He cannot tolerate evil. His goodness overcame evil which is His love, but He gave us a free will to choose good or evil. Those whom He has created that chooses rebellion against God’s laws that were created for our good will suffer the eternal consequences of that decision. Hell is every bit as real as heaven. Satan is every bit as real as God. If you choose not to believe in either, it doesn’t negate the truth except in your life. God’s existence and His Word has always been and will always be; He is infinite and man is finite. God is a far superior being much greater than His creation. When we look at our options of who or what to believe in, He far exceeds anything else universally existent.

As we begin a new year my prayer is you will prepare for the second coming of Christ as prophesied in the Word of God. It will happen just as promised. God cannot lie. The scriptures in Revelation 19:12 -16 go on to say:

And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen white and clean, were following Him on white horses. From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the winepress of the fierce wrath of God the Almighty. And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, "The King of Kings, and Lord of Lords."

You have a choice at this moment to be following Him on white horses in His army as He strikes down all evil and all evil receives their just reward; or you can be one of the ones receiving the fierce wrath of God Almighty, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. There is no greater power in existence to defy Him. He will prevail in His timing. He is in control no matter what you believe. Being an ambassador for Christ in obedience to scripture I am making an appeal on behalf of Jesus, our Lord and Savior to be reconciled to God while there is still time to make that choice. I know the God I serve, and I have experienced His love, and you can too no matter what you have done or not done. He will take you as you are. You can only change and be set free through the love of Christ. Jesus’ love for you trumped any sin you have ever committed. Don’t reject the only true hope for any of us. Don’t attempt to start the new year without a Savior, and there is only One. He truly is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and He knows your name. He formed you in your mother’s womb. He is intimately acquainted with all your ways. Don’t fail to unwrap the greatest gift ever given — the love of a Father and Son.
In His love.
