This is the scripture my son, Stephen, sent me as I was preparing to leave on a backpacking trip this weekend. How wonderful to be reminded of the precious promises of our Heavenly Father from one of my adult children.
How comforting to know whatever endeavor we are about to embark upon we are sheltered in the love of Abba, Father. His faithful promises are our armor and protection. Our responsibility is to learn to share them with one another.

Lady Godiva, myself, Michelle Nester, and Jenny Fox begin our hike at Burke’s Garden in Tazewell County. It is known as God’s Thumbprint and is Virginia’s highest valley and largest rural historical district. We trekked the Appalachian Trail and met many through hikers and were able to thank volunteers who were working on the trail. It was an incredible weekend and God honored His faithful promises.
