Philippians 2:14
"Do all things without grumbling or complaining or fault finding, so you may prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among who you appear as lights in the world, holding fast to the Word of Life…"

Grumbling, complaining, and fault finding so easily becomes a way of life for many of the children of God along with the rest of the world. Yet, God makes it clear in His Word He hates it. I hate what my Father hates, but still it is prevalent in my life
to my shame. How desperately I long to prove myself to be a blameless, innocent child of God bringing His light into the darkness, but it is smothered as I succumb to what comes so naturally.

I am reminded this morning through His Word we will only appear as Light as we hold fast to the Word of Life. This means more than just reading it. We must meditate and memorize it until it rules our hearts and minds more than our feelings and emotions.

I thank God His mercy is new every morning and great is His faithfulness when I am unfaithful. That is why He sent a Savior to light our way and to cleanse and heal us from all our failures. Therefore, everyday is a new beginning. Let us begin this day holding fast to the Word of Life that we might become His light in a crooked and perverse generation.
In His love.

My little grandson, Levi, and I just celebrated his sixth birthday together. We had a special "MeeMaw Day" which we relished every moment including a brief nap in between.😊
