Psalm 2:12
"Do homage to the son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way, for His wrath may soon be kindled. How blessed are all who take refuge in Him."

I turn to Psalm 2 once again this morning during election time to help me keep things in perspective. I am so thankful to know the only true and perfect King of this earth, and His name is Jesus. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever! He never lies! He will have the final say over each life and country. "How blessed are those who take refuuge in Him!"

Voting is the duty of every American privileged to live in this country. It is not just a right; it is a duty for all. I do not live a compartmentalized faith. When I go to the polls I will vote for Donald Trump because he is not a chronic liar. He has promised to defend what matter to me as I evaluate the future of a country I love. He is far from perfect, but he is transparent, straightforward, and has surrounded himself with godly advisers He, like myself has made many mistakes, but he owned them. He apologized.

Your vote does count, and when I look at the evil counterpart, who can stay home on November 8th? I will fast and pray, and perform my God given privilege and duty, but my refuge and hope is in the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.I rest in His sovereignty and hope you can too.
In His love.

I recently ran the Prince Edward Island Marathon in Canada to celebrate my upcoming 60th birthday! I truly experienced His love and Presence every mile. I fell short of qualifying for Boston as I had hoped for, but I ran every step and was able to sprint my finish!

We don’t always get what we want, but when we take refuge in Him we know He is always lifting our feet to higher ground. I am so thankful I never walk or run alone. You don’t have to either!
