3 John 3:4
"I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth."
Any godly mother knows the depth of John’s heart expressed in this verse. I define success for my children from God’s Word. It is that they would walk in the truth of His Word, and love Him with every fiber of their being above all else. It doesn’t require perfection as our Savior was perfect. It requires experiencing the constant love , mercy, and forgiveness, that comes from continuous fellowship with His Holy Spirit and His Words. The truth is always found in His Word. That is how we walk in truth. Our truth has to be sifted through His Word and cannot be found from worldly knowledge, or from our opinions and emotions. That results in deception, and we fulfill our own desires rather than the will of God. We cannot love Him in our obedience until we know His will in all situations opposed to our own will. This is the success I desire with all my heart for my children as well as myself. Let it be our heart’s cry today.
In His love.

It is hunting season! My oldest son, John David, managed two nice bucks two mornings in a row! Roxanne, his wife took her buck with a bow. They are obviously skilled hunters, but I recognized the favor of their Heavenly Father and gave thanks as I know they did.
