Then the Lord said, "There is a place by Me, and you shall stand there on the rock; and it will come about, while My glory is passing by, that I will put you in the cleft of the Rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed."
Exodus 33:21-22

What a remarkable interchange taking place between God and the man Moses. Moses is desperate for God – more of God. He is seeking him with all his heart. God allows desperate circumstances to bring His children unto Himself. God is sustaining Moses by revealing Himself to him. The Word of God tells us when we seek God with all our hearts He will let Himself be found. (Jeremiah 29:13, Deuteronomy 4:29, Matthew 7:7, Proverbs 8:17, Acts 17:24-28)

Moses cried out to God:

"If I have found favor in your sight let me know Your ways that I may know You that I may find favor in your sight. Consider too, that this nation is Your people. If Your presence does not lead us up form here, how then can it be known that I have found favor in Your sight, I and Your people? Is it not by Your going with us so that we, I and Your people, may be distinguished from all other people, who are upon the face of the earth? Exodus 33:13-15

As I prayerfully read Exodus 33, which I encourage you to take the time to do, I realized how relevant this Word is today for us as a nation and for our President at this time, Donald Trump. This man has honored God and His people more than any president in the history of our nation. We are in desperate times to hold onto America, and it calls for desperate measures. The desperate measures we need to take are here in Exodus 33. I took these verses and prayed them over our President and our leaders. But before I did that, I sought God with all my heart individually. I prayed as Moses did. God showed up as always as He did with Moses. He has no favorites. We may have all of God we want. It is our choice. When we, as Americans, restore our relationship with the God of America she was founded upon, we will once again be the Light unto all the world. America is only great when she is good. We cannot be good without our good, good, God who sustains us as a nation. Our constitution was written for a godly nation founded upon the wisdom of scriptures. The way we are sustained as individuals and as a nation is allowing God to reveal Himself to us as Moses did.

I want to close with lyrics from an old hymn, " Rock of Ages."

Rock of ages, cleft for me. Let me hide myself in Thee;
Let the water and blood, from Thy wounded side which flowed,
be of sin the double cure; save me from wrath and be made pure.

When life becomes more than I can bear, I run to the "secret place," the cleft of the Rock, which is Christ. I hide myself in Thee. I am always safe there. Then He reveals Himself to me and it always sustains me. Please join me there, and pray continuously for our nation and our President.
In His love.
