Isaiah 57:15
For thus says the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is holy,

"I dwell on a high and holy place, and also with the contrite and lowly of spirit in order to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite."

The scriptures tell us God is opposed to the proud, but He gives grace to the humble. (James 4:6) We often are told as followers of Christ the way up is down, down on our knees with humility of heart. David tells us in Psalm 51:17,

"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, oh God, You will not despise."

Do you feel broken, and are you in a low place this morning? Take heart! We can never get too low for the high exalted One who dwells on a high and holy place to come down to where we are when we cry out to Him from our broken and contrite heart. There is no power of darkness greater than the perfect love of God. He can heal any and every broken heart. Offer Him your broken and contrite heart. He promises to dwell or remain with you, and to revive your broken and contrite heart.
"A broken and contrite heart, oh God, You will not despise."
In His love.

This greeting is one of the many reasons I am revived upon returning to my haven of rest after a long day of toil in the world.
