"For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me. He will lift me upon a rock. And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me. And I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing praises to the Lord." Psalm 27:5-6

Don’t we all love the Psalms of David as He openly cries out during the agonies of life, and then shouts victoriously as he proclaims the faithfulness of God. We too have this same God to claim as our own. Do you need a safe "hiding place" to run to today? His arms are always out stretched. He has no favorites. What a comfort to know the words of the Psalm are as true today as when David penned them.

We are no more alone than David was as a jealous Saul turned on an innocent David and pursued him with great power to destroy him. Yet, David cried out to God, his Father, and he took refuge in Him. God will conceal us in the secret place of His Presence if we are willing to enter in, and wait upon Him trusting in His love for us. When God intervenes He lifts us above our enemies that surround us daily. Of course David aligned Himself in obedience to God’s law during this time, and we must do the same.

As we experience God’s faithfulness in defending us and becoming our "hiding place" as stated in Psalm 32:7 don’t forget to offer up sacrifices of praise, joy, and thanksgiving to Him who is always worthy.
In His love.

"Love at first sight" was never more true in my life as when I saw my new, little grandson, Caleb Hayes, for the first time! As his tiny hand grasped tightly to my finger I could not praise and thank God enough for this perfect, precious, gift from above.
