2 Corinthians 4:17-18
"For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Most folks know that precious metals are produced by a refining fire. We find a parallel in scripture finding God Himself to be the great supreme alchemist! He takes the fiery trials we encounter in this life and produces in us eternal weight of glory that far outweighs them all.
We must keep ourselves aligned in obedience to His Word during these times. It means waiting and trusting in His love for us. As we yield our will to His, we are transformed into His likeness!
We must take our eyes off this world and other people during these times of affliction, and focus on eternity. What price is to great to know when we see Him face to face that He may see a reflection of Himself?" Desire the rewards that are eternal and never ages far outweighing the fleeting rewards of the flesh which are only temporal!

Wonderful day spent at the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro, North Carolina with my daughter, Sarah, and all five of my grandchildren. What fun we had marveling at the uniqueness and diversity of God’s creatures! Observing my incredible grandchildren I realized how true that is in people as well. Be who God created you to be!
