"The Lord is my portion, says my soul. Therefore I have hope in Him." The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him. It is good that he waits silently for the salvation of the Lord.
May we be able to declare with Jeremiah, the Lord is our portion. Even though Jeremiah was a lamenting prophet over the utter destruction of Jerusalem he has hope as he has learned to put His trust in the goodness of God. He seeks God. What are you lamenting over today? Do you feel oppressed from all sides? Make the Lord your portion this morning, and wait silently on deliverance from the consequences of sin, whether it be your sin or the sin others. He is a sure salvation. There is always hope in Him.
I love watching summer give way to fall. The transformation is lovely!
