Luke 2:18-19
"And all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them. But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart.
As I read these familiar verses this morning I felt such a kinship with Mary. Other people may wonder at the things God is doing in my children’s lives, but I treasure up all these things as Mary, and I ponder them with my Father living in my heart.
How costly it was for Mary to become Jesus’ mother, but I know and so do you it was well worth it all. Because of her obedience mankind received a Savior who took away all our sin.
This Christmas season may we treasure up all these things, and ponder them in our hearts above all else, and allow it to give us hope for the New Year.
