"Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father. " Matthew 7:21

There are many deeds being performed in Jesus’ name today just as when He walked among us, but as He states in Matthew 7:21 only those doing the will of the Father will enter the kingdom of heaven. We need to also note these are the same people who were calling Him their Lord.

If Jesus is Lord of our lives we do His will as opposed to our own, and cannot continue to live lives of selfish ambition and empty conceit. But before we can do His will we must know what His will is. How do we do that? We must read the Word of God for ourselves! Listening to others who read His Word will never make you a true disciple of Christ. To know truth for yourself means you must become a disciple of His Word according to Jesus:

So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him,

"If you continue in My Word then you are truly disciples of Mine, and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."

Might we purpose in our hearts today to become true disciples of Christ and His teachings in the scriptures. His ways are so much higher than our own. His truths set us free from the lies and deception we are immersed in daily. I will conclude with Psalm 1. As you read these verses put your name in them, and allow them to become your prayer:

"How blessed is Teresa who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But Teresa’s delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law does Teresa meditate day and night."
In His love.

"Blessed is she who knows her strength comes from the Lord. She will go from strength to strength.

This was my experience yesterday taking part in a 12 mile trail run, "The Deer Drool", at Stone Mountain in Roaring Gap, NC. My heart soared with gratitude being saturated in the beauty of fall very much aware of His Presence with each step.
