Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise Him in the heights! Praise Him, all angels; praise Him all host! Praise Him, sun and moon; praise Him all stars of Light! Praise Him highest heavens, and the water that is above the heavens. Let them praise the name of the Lord, for He commanded and they were created. He has established them for ever and ever; He has made a decree that will not pass away.
Perhaps you like me are convicted as you read this Psalm. How could we ever praise Him enough? In Luke 19:39-40 Jesus told the Pharisees if His disciples stopped praising Him the very rocks would cry out!
Spending a lot of time outdoors I often feel I am joining with all creation to sing praise to our great God who truly spoke it all into being. Today let us purpose in our hearts to offer the sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving for all He is and has done for us as expressed so magnificently in Psalm 148.
In His love.
Yesterday I participated in a ten mile trail run, The Deer Droul, at Stone Mountain in Traphill, NC. There was plenty of opportunity to be in awe of the beauty of His creation and to praise Him for being fearfully and wonderfully made as stated in Psalm 139:14.
