Lamentations 5:21
" Restore us to You, O Lord, that we may be restored; renew our days as of old."

Throughout scripture we see the agony that comes when God’s people go their own way rather than obeying His ways. They rally in their folly for a season, and then they begin to suffer the consequences as individuals and as a nation. We see this in Lamentations. It is Jeremiah’s hope the sorrow will bring about repentance, true repentance.
We must confess and acknowledge what we have done to God, and then He sends us to those we have caused offense and pain. Our choices never affect just ourselves, but others become victims of our choices. Sometimes seeing that will bring about repentance and restoration. Let it be the heart cry of His wayward children today to be restored to their Heavenly Father. He requires confession and repentance. He will forgive you because of the cross His Son bore as He obeyed the Father. It was for you. Then you are to go to those you have wronged, the victims of your sin, confess what you have done, and ask their forgiveness that you might be restored to the days of old when you were walking in truth and obedience. God is our Restorer and Redeemer. Let Him do His job. You must allow it; it must be done His way. Make a decision to change your life and the lives of others today.
In His love.
