2 Timothy 1:13-14
"Retain the standard of sound words which you have heard from me, in the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. Guard, through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, the treasure which has been entrusted to you."
What are you most diligent about imparting in your family’s life? God help us all as parents and grandparents to be able to charge our children and grandchildren with the same charge Paul gives Timothy. May we be diligent in speaking the sound words of faith and love found in Christ Jesus alone. Paul tells Timothy he is mindful of the sincere faith in him which first dwelt in his mother and grandmother. (1 Timothy 1:5) Let us admonish our children to guard, relying on the Holy Spirit, the greatest treasure we will ever leave them. It is all we can impart in their lives that has "everlasting value."
