"For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ."
I naturally want to please people and have favor. Don’t we all? But because I have made the decision to not have Christ as my Savior only, but as my Lord and Master, I am His bondservant. Knowing the truth of His love for me I can be no less. Still living in this world it is a challenge to not end up pleasing men more than God. We must be very intentional knowing our rewards come from God Himself. Wouldn’t we much rather have rewards from God? Honestly, I only want the reward of pleasing the One who loves me with incomprehensible love and grace. Does anyone else’s approval compare to His? I think not; I know not. May I encourage you to live for His approval and favor rather than man’s. It will be a life worth living presently and eternally.
In His love.
Photos from yesterday’s bike ride. I was delighted by all the bees buzzing among the gorgeous flowers trusting lots of pollination was going on. It is the favor of God to witness such events of nature. 🙂
