"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, not things present, nor things to come, no height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39

I remember a country song with these lyrics:

Stop the world and let me off
I’m tired of goin’ round an’ round
I played the game of love and lost
So stop the world and let me off

The truth is if we live long enough these lyrics reveal a broken heart which surgeons cannot fix. A broken heart is one of the most excruciating pains we experience in life, and there is no pill to fix it. It may come from a spouse, a parent, a child, or a friend that we have loved with all our hearts which brings us to a breaking point of no longer wanting to live.

People are just people. We are creatures of great imperfections, so naturally we love imperfectly within ourselves. In order to avoid devastation we must go to the only source that is perfect love which is God Himself. If any relationship in our life is more important than your relationship with Him other people will have the power to wreck your life and bring you to the point of no longer wanting to live in this world as the lyrics of the song stated.
However, once you have allowed God’s love to be your main source of love it will never happen to you again, or ever because nothing can separate us from the love of God. It is constant and endures forever. Only He can meet your every need and not leave you wanting. No other person is capable of that even if they truly desire to. We were created individually by God Himself. He formed each one of us in the womb. He knows us inside and out. Only He love us perfectly, because He is perfect in all His ways.

May I encourage you to seek His love above all else and to obey what He said was the most important commandment to fulfill:

"Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?"
And He said to him,
"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and foremost commandment."
Matthew 22:36-38

"Therefore I am going to allure her. I will lead her into the wilderness and speak tenderly to her." Hosea 2:14

There is nothing more glorious than to be allured to the wilderness places and experience His promise from Hosea 2:14 Being allured to Buffalo Mountain in Willis Va the Lord helped me get the cares of this world in perspective. I am so small, and am surrounded by such grandeur of His creation! Yet He spoke tenderly to me the small creation of His child is what He holds closest to His heart in the photo… Selah! Meditate!
