"Be on guard so that your hearts will not be weighed down with dissipation, drunkeness, and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap; for it will come upon all those who dwell upon the face of all the earth."
What has your heart weighed down this morning? Are you caught up in dissipation or self indulgence? His Word tells us to be on guard, so our hearts will not be weighed down with the temporal things of life that keeps us from the eternal. What constitutes reality for you? Is it Hollywood movies, social media, academics,or opinions of others? This too is all temporal. When heaven and earth passes away His Words remain. (Matthew 24:35)
May I encourage you this morning to allow your heart to be unburdened, and allow the Truth to set you free as you delve into His Words. He is the way, the truth, and the life.
In His love.
I spent a lovely evening with two special ladies yesterday, Marie Smith, a client and dear friend, and Betty Jewel Patton, my second and fifth grade teacher who made a lasting impact in my life.
