"The earth is full of Your loving kindness, O Lord; teach me Your statutes."
Nothing brings me more pleasure than relishing in the loving kindness of my Lord! Escaping out of the demands of this world and immersing myself in His creation is one of the most effective ways I know of doing that. It is a battle to stay more aware of His Presence than the clamors of this temporal world. My weapon of choice this weekend was a highly anticipated return to the Appalachian Trail backpacking. I come off of the mountain ridges mesmerized by His loving kindness.
My heart cries with the Psalmist,
"Teach me Your statutes!"
I want to be like the wonderful God of creation who is so full of loving kindness in all of His ways. May I encourage you to take time in life today to escape into more of His loving kindness? Do so in whatever way that causes you to experience a deeper awareness of His loving kindness He has surrounded you with on this earth.
In His love.
I saw and felt His loving kindness as I trudged along mountain ridges with my dog, Lady Godiva, and was provided with just the right seat for resting by a tree He uniquely designed for the weary travelers. I loved climbing all the different rock formations we encountered. At the end of our challenging journey of elation we were provided with falls of cold, clear mountain water I deeply partook of with a grateful heart! Truly, the earth is full of His goodness and loving kindness!
