John 8:31-32
So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, "if you continue in My Word, then you are truly disciples of Mine, and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."
Truth is all that matters in life, and yet we live in a society who creates their own truths which are lies along with their created gods that are false also. It appears to be true among those who call themselves Christians as well. We foolishly measure and compare ourselves with one another seeking one another’s approval rather than God’s. The Word of God is truth . It is our reference point and standard for living. You may not like it or believe it, but you can do nothing to change it. It has not nor will it ever pass away. it is not outdated as many have proclaimed. Jesus tells those who believed, to continue in His Word in order to be "true" disciples, and promised they would know the truth, and the truth would set them free. What a loaded promise!
Do you value and want truth more than you want your own way? That is your starting point. What has imprisoned your life that you need to be freed from today? The truth will set the captives free because He said so. Go to His Word this morning that you may become a true disciple of Christ.
