Who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with loving kindness and compassion. Psalm 103:4

I am attempting to write this devotional while in the midst of Covid. I suppose this was the sickest I have ever been. One thing I am thankful for is I was prepared spiritually. I know God is hearing my cries. The word He had given Me to cling to is Psalm 103.
I am going to allow the Word of God to speak for itself. It is a Psalm of instruction. David begins by telling us to: "Bless the Lord O my soul and all that is within me." We are to bless His Holy name. This cannot be done according to feelings; quite the contrary. God’s people have to live by faith in the good and bad of life.

In verses 2-5 we are instructed to forget none of His benefits:
"Who pardons all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from the pit, and crowns you with loving kindness and compassion. Who satisfies your years with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle.’

I do so encourage my readers to immerse themselves in this Psalm for strength in these trying times. We must allow God to turn our fear into faith by renewing our minds daily in His Word. It is the best antidote we have for Covid. This a man made virus with no rational solutions. I would sincerely appreciate your prayer while I am trying to recover.
In His love

I was delighted to find bald eagles have made a home Woodlawn, Virginia! Couldn’t get a great shot, but better than no shot at all.
