2 Timothy 4:3-4
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth.
We all must settle in our heart we want the truth more than we want our own way. How foolish we are when we surround ourselves with what we want to hear deluding ourselves. 2 Corinthians 13:8 tells us we can do nothing against the truth but only for the truth. Denying or ignoring the truth of God’s Word doesn’t change it. It will always be as God himself will always be. Surrender your ways for His. He is God; He created you. He knows all things. We do not; we are mere man. Place your life on a sure foundation, the only sure foundation to be had. His ways are far superior to ours at best, and know that the Truth sets you free from yourself.
