Ephesians 5:25-27
Husbands love your wives just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the Word that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she will be holy and blameless.
The deepest desire I possess is for my Husband to be able to present me to Himself without spot or wrinkle and holy and blameless These verses of scripture motivate me as no other to stay in His cleansing Word, and allow HIm to prepare me for when we are joined. I live for that moment.
Paul instructs husbands to follow Jesus’ example with their wives. if only we would hear this vow from husband to wives wouldn’t we see a different kind of marriage? If both husband and wife had this mutual goal it would truly produce a “marriage made in heaven.” Its never to late to start!
For those of us who have Jesus as their husband allow Him to do as He desires; stay in His Words being cleansed and sanctified as we await our union!
